The final Public Workshop for the Dobbins ARB JLUS was held in the City of Marietta, GA at the Cobb County Board of Commissioners Meeting Room, 100 Cherokee Street on January 22, 2015 at 6:00 PM. The Public Workshop was conducted as an Open House with project representatives on hand to discuss the Public Draft JLUS including proposed strategy recommendations. Comment cards were provided for written comments from attendees in addition to the option of providing feedback online through the website or mail. The public comment period for the Draft JLUS closes on February 11, 2015. The public is encouraged to review and submit any comments by 11:59 PM on this date. Public comment will be reviewed and considered for inclusion in the Final Report. Review and approval / adoption of the Final Report will be conducted by Cobb County, the City of Marietta, and the City of Smyrna at public hearings scheduled in February and March 2015.

The links below provide access to the Public Draft documents that make up the Dobbins ARB JLUS. These documents are being released for public review and comment as part of a review period that will end on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.

In order to develop a plan that is responsive to local needs, input from the community is critical. You are encouraged to join us at the Public Open House to provide your questions, comments, or concerns on the Public Draft JLUS in person with the JLUS development team.

Public Open House for the Dobbins ARB Joint Land Use Study

The Public Open House will allow the public to review, discuss, and comment on the Public Draft of the JLUS documents with the JLUS development team. Documentation includes the project background, compatibility issues, and recommended strategies to address compatibility. The Public Draft JLUS documents will be available on the project website the second week of January for public review.

The public is encouraged to join us at this meeting to learn more about this planning process and provide valuable feedback.

The second public workshop for the Dobbins ARB JLUS was held on October 30, 2014 at Marietta High School in Marietta, GA. This workshop provided the public with a project update and an opportunity for the community to increase their understanding of issues and the Dobbins ARB influence areas being addressed through the JLUS.
During the workshop, the project team gave an overview of the current status of the JLUS project, discussed how public involvement is integrated in the JLUS process, provided an overview of the Dobbins ARB operational areas, discussed the development of compatibility issues that have been identified to date, and answered questions from participants. The public also had an opportunity to provide their input on the prioritization of the issues and pose new issues previously not considered.
